Rosalie Magallon is a junior at Milwaukie High School and a reporter for the North Clackamas Compass. She loves journalism because it helps people see all sides of a situation, which helps people process and appreciate other people’s opinions and points of view. Outside of the newsroom, Rosalie is involved in cheer, swim, and boxing, and enjoys spending quality time with her family and close friends. This summer, she spent a week at Lewis and Clark College for a speech and debate camp, where she learned how to form arguments for both sides of a situation and get more comfortable with public speaking. Her favorite book series is The Hunger Games, which she loves because of its unique plot and social commentary. After high school, Rosalie wants to become a defense lawyer so she can help people and have her voice heard.
