Editor-in-Chief of the North Clackamas Compass Alexis Herman is a senior at Clackamas High School who has always been drawn to stories, whether they are found in the pages of a book, in the art she creates, or in the lives of people around her. From a young age, she loved getting lost in different worlds and using her imagination to bring ideas to life. That same curiosity has grown into a passion for journalism, where she can explore real stories that matter and give a voice to her fellow students. Alexis values the power of storytelling to connect people and spark new conversations. Her favorite part of journalism is the excitement of uncovering news and sharing it with readers who may be just as curious as her. She hopes to pursue investigative journalism to continue asking questions, seeking truth, and telling stories that inspire understanding.
