Clackamas Board Visits SSC

Clackamas County Commissioners Jim Bernard and Ken Humberston, along with the County Administrator and other staff, toured the Sabin-Schellenberg Professional Center Monday morning.   The tour focused on the Broadcasting and Social Media department.  Clackamas County awards grant funding from Comcast via the Public, Education, and Government access grant.  The Commissioners toured the newly renovated television studio, had conversations with students in the program, and then had a chance to try out the Virtual Reality programs in the department.

SSC is working with Clackamas Community College and the County at finding new ways to partner with Virtual and Augmented Reality classes and economic opportunities for the County.   BCC Chair Bernard demonstrated how the program gives players a chance to travel inside a new reality without even leaving the building.
