Students in the Broadcasting and Social Media program at the Sabin-Schellenberg Center are hosting a live Town Hall Forum on student safety and school violence Wednesday, March 21st.  The televised event that will be aired from 10:30-11:30 from the Ken Bladow television studio at Schellenberg, will be hosted by anchors Jake Bushman and Zach Murray.  Guests will include the NCSD Superintendent Matt Utterback and NCSD School Board Chair Rein Vaga.

In addition, Milwaukie Mayor Mark Gamba, Happy Valley Police Chief Scott Anderson, and Fifth District Congressman Kurt Schrader will also be a part of the program.  Student organizers of the Clackamas High School walk-out will share information about why they organized the event this week.  And, a student organizer from the Portland March scheduled for March 24th will be in studio to talk about her experience organizing an event expected to draw nearly 75K people.

Students in the program have been working on the production for about 3 weeks.  Students from the Journalism class will be a part of the studio audience and able to ask questions of the guests.  Original music for the production was composed by a Broadcasting student.  Following the live show, the program will air on the district educational channel and on all government and public access channels in Clackamas County.
