Oregon Winter Storms

The winter storm has attacked the East Coast and Midwest in the United States. More than a foot of snow in 8 states, and the “bomb cyclone” has stopped power lines, many car crashes, heating sources and cancelled many flights. The Winter Storm “Igna” will continue to snow and drop ice in the South then travel to the Northeast.

At least 19 people have died from freezing temperatures. Almost 1,200 flights have been cancelled. Many schools have been closed in ten states. Tides from the ocean have washed into the Boston streets. The tide in the city broke a record of 15.16 feet.

Winter Storms have been affecting the east side of the United States for the past few weeks. The midwest also saw snow from the storm Igna. The storms will affect us in the following years because the change in the climate will affect businesses throughout the nation. Many restaurants and food trucks were closed in Austin, Texas because of the storm, Igna.

The National Weather Service stated that the storms in the US will stay for several weeks to March while the storms in New England will stay from January to sometime in February. To prepare for the storm people should stay inside and check on pets often. The businesses across the US lost a lot of money by paying for heats sources inside the building and dealing with the snow outside.
