The cheerful and merry Who’s of Who-ville all came to the RPHS’s auditorium Dec. 1 with their biggest smiles and colorful outfits for a one-night performance of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” All members of the Rex Putnam Choralires choir sang a variety of Christmas melodies.

Erica Lockwood, RPHS choir, directed the show and cast senior Dalton Edlund as the vile “Mr. Grinch.” Sophie Gassaway and Lorraine Homberger, seniors, were the comical elders who narrated the show. Karee Helegerson, sophomore, put on ears and a tail to be “Max the Dog.”

“I thought the production went really well. I have seen the show every year since it started and I thought Ms. Lockwood did a great job,” Jordan Moore, junior, said.

The cast all learned their music and some even were assigned special solos during the performance. This included a tap dancing section, a quartet and even a special chipmunk appearance.

“It went great. It was a lot of fun and I’m really glad I got the opportunity to be a part of it,” Kenny Helmes, Alvin the Chipmunk, said.
